After their wedding in March of 1969, John Lennon and Yoko Ono spent their entire honeymoon in Amsterdam… laying in bed! The couple invited the press in every day for one week from 9am to 9pm, protesting the Vietnam War and trying promote wold peace. Known for their risqué behavior, the press expected them to be having sex, instead they spent the time laying in their pajamas and talking about peace. John and Yoko were upset that their act wasn’t taken seriously. A second bed-in was held in Montreal in May of the same year, where they recorded the song Give Peace A Chance. The recording session was attended by tons of press and various celebrities, and it quickly became an anti-war anthem.
