Please take a look, apply and donate to this very cool opportunity this summer for artists, writers, and curators interested in a site specific residency program: Shandaken Project!
By donating to the Shandaken Project, you will receive a mixtape from five cultural luminaries, including Vince Aleti’s disco playlist.
Check out Aletti’s special Paddle8 disco playlist on one of our earliest blog posts!
The Shandaken Project is a community-supported residency program in the Catskills. Beginning this summer, artists, writers, curators, and more will be invited to live and work on our 250-acre grounds for free.
And they need studios to house such residents!
Artist Kant Smith has designed incredibly functional yet incredibly cheap studios for the project that can be erected anywhere and later be disassembled for transportation to another location. The best part is, they can be re-purposed for manifold practices: from painting to pottery to writing and more.
IDK about you, but I’m down for the Catskills-land-party-as-pledge-gift for $15. Donate!
